Shirley L. Millimaki

Shirley L. Millimaki, 80, of Mount Holly, passed away July 28, 2021 in her home surrounded by family. Born June 17, 1941 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of Carley R. and Edna (Thomas) Long. She married Michael T. Millimaki on June 17, 1995.

A member of Community Baptist Church, Shirley retired from Coatings 2000 after 22 years of employment.

She enjoyed gardening, attending church, reading her bible, visiting the East Coast and spending time with her family.

A woman of very strong faith, Shirley was a loving and amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by those who cherished her life.

Survivors include her husband, Michael T. Millimaki; daughters, Sherry (Vance) Kimball and Tina (Gene) Williams; step-son, Jesse Heslip; grandchildren, Kahlie Heslip, Shelby Ihlefield, Jack Kimball, Carley Kimball, Chris Ihlefield and Charles Eudy; sister, Carleen Nivens; brother, Henry Long; numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Scott and Chris Flowers.

Funeral Service 3 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte. Visitation 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
