Mrs. Mitchell, age 79 of Charlotte passed away Sunday December 15, 2013 at Novant Health Presbyterian Health Care Center, Charlotte, NC. She was born December 11, 1934 in Mecklenburg County daughter of the late Andrew Carl and Dora Lee Smith Stutts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Mitchell in 1996 and a daughter Cynthia Barnes in 2011. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The family will receive friends starting at 12:00 P. M. Wednesday December 18, 2013 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212 with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 P. M. at Sharon Memorial Park. Surviving are her son, Michael Mitchell of Harrisburg, three daughters Debra Elmahdy of Charlotte, Connie Scher of Huntersville, Sherree Summey Of Monroe, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
