

Shirley Greene Snow of Linville, NC went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on February 4, 2016. She celebrated her 80th birthday in heaven. She passed away at 6:51am, with her family present, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.
She was born in Linville, NC a daughter of the late Myrtle and Arl Greene. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bernard Greene, Floyd Greene, Arl Greene, Julian Greene, John Greene, as well as her nephews Sandy Greene, Jay Greene, and Jimmy Greene and Niece Nina Case. Shirley is survived by her sisters Martha Henley and husband Jim, Betty Wright, Rosa Hartley and husband Jay; and her brother Carl Greene. Shirley lived for 56 years in Charlotte, NC. She was a piano teacher for 63 years; she was the executive secretary at Tateishi of America. She also worked for Causby Furniture, and ADT security. Shirley and her sons, Sonny, Scott, and Gregg sang in a gospel group, The Keller Family, as well as the group, Carolina. They traveled singing gospel music and sharing the Good News of Jesus. Shirley loved to play the piano and did so for many special events such as: weddings, funerals, church.
Shirley was blessed with a large family and loved each one of them dearly. She is survived by her husband Guy Snow. She has three sons, Sonny Keller and wife Debi, Scott Keller and wife Judy, and Gregg Keller and wife Connie, and step son Garreth Snow and step daughter Cissy Snow. Shirley loved her grandchildren so much and spent lots of time with them making fun memories. Her grandchildren are Shannon Keller Marler and husband Marshall, Sara Keller, Lauren Keller, Maegan Keller Ferguson and husband Zach, Monica Keller Evans and husband Chris, Chandler Keller, and Wyatt Keller. Shirley has four great grandchildren, Kirsten Marler, Bryson Marler, Addison Marler, and Kipper Ferguson who is expected to be born in April. She has many nieces and nephews that she loves very much.
Shirley was the most elegant woman that had the love of Jesus shining through her. She would do anything she could to help others. She was a prayer warrior! Shirley was the rock of her family and taught them all about how important it was to keep God first in all they do!
The Family will receive friends at Linville Evangelical Methodist Church 384 W. 3rd Street Linville, NC, 28646 on Monday February 8th from 12apm-1pm. The Celebration of Life will be from 1pm-2pm with a grave side service at Tanglewood Cemetery immediately following.
Special thanks to all the family and friends who visited, called, sent cards and care packages, and most of all for all the prayers and support of our family. We would like to thank the Tucker Hospice House nurses who helped take care of our Mother.
