Stacey Jean Hild

Stacey Jean Hild, (wife of Paul Ladebauche) 56, of Charlotte passed away at CMC Pineville on November 4, 2014 surrounded by her family. Stacey was born on July 11, 1958 in Louisville, KY. After receiving her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education with an emphasis in Music from Eastern KY University (Richmond, KY), she enjoyed a lengthy career as a Music Teacher. She continued her education by earning 30 hours above her Masters. Upon graduation, she moved to Charleston, SC where she taught for Charleston County Schools for 2 years. Upon moving to Charlotte, NC, she taught for Lancaster County Schools in SC for 10 years and then 16 years with CMS in Charlotte. Stacey also was a part-time piano teacher at Music and Arts at the Arboretum in Charlotte. Stacey was a loving wife, mother and sister who loved the arts and music. Over several decades her passion for music touched the lives of many students throughout the Carolinas. Her greatest joy was her love for her family, especially her daughters, and her love for animals.

Stacey is predeceased by her mother, Glena Ruth (Foell) Hild. She is survived by her father, Albert Hild of Louisville KY; her loving husband of 30 years, Paul Ladebauche; daughters, Marah Hild-Ladebauche and Erin Hild-Ladebauche, all of Charlotte, NC; sister, Terri Hild and her husband, Paul Kutter, both of Charlotte, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 9 from 2 - 4 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Monday November 10 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1623 Carmel Rd, Charlotte. A reception will immediately follow the service in Tilson Hall at St. John’s. A memorial service will be held in Louisville in December to celebrate Stacey’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Stacey’s memory to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
