Talia Mathis-Proctor

Talia Alexus Mathis- Proctor, 19, passed away on August 15, 2023, peacefully in her sleep at home in Charlotte, NC. She was born February 28, 2004, along with her twin sister Samaria – to their mother Daniela Proctor and father Damien Mathis.

Talia was everything good in this world. She was devoted to her faith, family, friends, and to living life to the fullest. She was very intelligent and active, as she graduated Olympic High School with both athletic and academic scholarships. Talia was beautiful, charismatic, wise, unique, and funny. She loved to sing, dance, and being with her brothers, who were her best friends. Everything Talia did in life, she did to the very best of her abilities and put all of her into it.

She finally found the love of her life, even though he had been there since she was 14 years old lol. She joyously intended on Pierre being her husband, having a double wedding with her twin, Samaria & Henry, and one day having children of their own. In the meantime, Talia mothered her niece, Suhani. She installed herself into her and Suhani is the one who gave her the name “Auntie TT “. Talia also loved the life in each of her nephews and nieces, who she always went above and beyond for. We miss you so much Tum. We love you forever <3

Talia will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Daniela Proctor. Her siblings – Azalia, Samaria, Dion, Davion, and Imani. Her nieces & nephews – Suhani, Kehlani, Israel, Sebastian, Daniel, and Hezekiel. As well as her grandparents, James & Sylvia Proctor, raised her half her life and anyone could see that. In her love for them and likeness of her Grandfather. Her logic was just like his and she adored her “PaPa”. She loved working on the cars with him, and learning from his knowledge.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, the 22nd of August, 2023 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service and burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Bearing Talia's casket will be Dion Mathis-Proctor, Michael Proctor, Davion Mathis-Proctor, Henry Enamorado-Ramirez, Lynn Pierre Jones,III and Pablo Martinez.
