Born on March 13, 1959, in Johnstown, PA, Terry was the son of John William and Janet Jarvie, and brother to Tim, Tom, and Trudy Jarvie. He was raised to be a hard worker and learned many skills working alongside his father and brothers at their family construction business. He played college football at Ithaca before he began working in the healthcare field, where he spent the majority of his career. For the last sixteen years, he served as the area sales manager at Konica Minolta Healthcare, where he adored his colleagues, whom he treasured as extended family.
Terry would help anyone who had a need that he could meet. He loved to build and create and work with his hands. His smile and sense of humor were infectious. Those who knew him loved him. He was a fantastic friend and also intensely competitive—those closest to him would say he always won. Physical activity, playing golf, and watching SEC football always had a piece of his heart. And above all of these loves, he loved Jesus, whom he now sees face to face.
Terry is survived by so many who love him. His pride and joy were his children, William Colton Jarvie and Catherine Grace Jarvie. He is also survived by their mother, Sherri Jarvie; his significant other, Shelly Middleton; his siblings Tim Jarvie (Gisele), Tom Jarvie (Sherri Ann), and Trudy Memmel (Curt); his mother, Janet Jarvie; and too many extended family, friends, and loved ones to count.
He is preceded in death by his father, John William Jarvie.
A receiving of family and friends will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at McEwen Funeral Services—Pineville, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel.
