Born in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Otha Armstead Stutts and Mamie Clark Stutts.
Mrs. McIntyre was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church and was a retired teacher’s assistant in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.
She is survived by sons, James Richard McIntyre, Jr. and wife Bonnie; Gary Scott McIntyre and partner Reginald McMillan; and grandsons, Nicholas Craig McIntyre and Samuel Kevin McIntyre. Mrs. McIntyre was one of fifteen children and is survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Reverend Joanne Hull officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Prospect Presbyterian Church, 9425 West NC 152 Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115.
