

at the Pineville Rehab & Living Center. She was born October 7, 1915, in Pineville NC
where she resided all her life. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late James Lester and
Essie Osborne McCoy.
She worked at Cone Mills in Pineville for many years and was an Avon representative
for 25 years. Thelma was a life-long member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church, and at
the time of her death, had been the longest tenured member. She loved her church and was the Junior Dept (ages 9-12) Superintendent for 24 years. She also served as Director of the WMU for several years.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Eury and husband Don, Shirley Alford and husband Bill, Sylvia Moore and husband Ronald, daughter-in-law, Thelma Crump and step-daughter, Geraldine Kriner, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husbands Carl Lee Crump and Lloyd F. Moore, son Donnie Crump, sister Clara Knight and brother James McCoy.
The family will receive friends at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville on Thursday March 8 from 1 to 2 pm, prior to the funeral service at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. Lee Davis and Rev. Bruce League officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
