

Mr. Thomas Lee Flack, 67, of Charlotte passed away on March 1, 2010 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Harry & Bryant Company, Chapel in the Oaks, with the Reverend Tom Latimer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Tom was born on April 18, 1942 in Maxwelton, WV, son of the late Sidney Gilkerson Flack and Naomi Leah Buckland Flack. He was employed by Logicalis as a technical consultant to the Integration Solutions Group, and was a veteran of the US Navy. Tom enjoyed the peace and quiet of home as well as being an active member of his community. He was a member of the Belles & Beaus Square Dance Club of Matthews, NC and enjoyed both square dancing and round dancing for many years. Through the years, “Coach Tom” was a big part of youth sports and coached both boys and girls soccer teams. Tom will be remembered for his remarkable work ethic, his notable sense of humor and his devotion to family and friends. Tom will be terribly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Charlene Surber Flack, son, Thomas Lee Flack, Jr and wife Victoria; daughter, Samantha Leigh Borte and husband Derek; two grandsons Joshua Martin Flack and Justin Wolf Flack; and sister, Marge Hanson.
