Thomas Henry Neal Sr.

Thomas was born in Charlotte on October 25, 1937 and was the son of the late Randolph Neal, Sr. and Maggie Watts Neal. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church where he was a long-time member and served in many capacities for more than 20 years. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, travelling and, in the early 1970’s, was the leader of Boy Scout Troop 78.

Thomas retired from AT&T where he was a lineman for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory are is former wife and mother of his children, Golevai Neal; children, Ronnie Neal (Priscilla), Thomas Neal Jr., Phyllis Long, Efrem Neal (Tabitha), Melinda Huntley (Ricky) and Larry Russell; sister Mazell Willis; brother Randolph Neal, Jr.; grandchildren, Tamiko Friday, Shawnta Neal, Ronnie Neal., Jr, Antonio Neal, Christopher Neal, Tiffany Marie Neal, Michael Kiser, Nyesha Long, Tyrek Long, Nykeia Burris, Efrem Lamar Neal, Jr., Jamarcus Nash, Maurice Neal, Brandon Torrence, Markel Cureton, and LeKeshia Russell; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:45pm.
