Timothy Poe Dautel

Tim is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Diane Dautel. He is survived by his four children, Sharon Gerald and husband Jeff, Michael Dautel and wife Heather, Brian Dautel and wife Kathleen, and Jackie Timmons and husband Chris. Also surviving are his six beloved grandchildren, Katie and Scott Gerald, Drew and Stewart Dautel, Ben Dautel, and Ally Timmons; and by his brother Terrence Dautel.

Prior to moving to Charlotte, NC in 1970, Tim graduated from Denison University and Case Western Reserve University Law School. Tim was a financial advisor at Interstate Johnson Lane, Paine Webber, and RBC Wealth Management. He was a long-time member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church and a current member at Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Since retirement, he has been active at Saint Matthew’s and a volunteer for Friendship Trays. He will be remembered for his gentle nature and dry sense of humor.

Services will be held at Saint Matthew Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 8th with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carolinas Ovarian Cancer Fund at Levine Cancer Institute.
