Vay Hy Chang

Born on December 10, 1983 in Dong Nai Viet Nam, she was a daughter of Chang Hin Nam and Lam Nhi Mui. Following graduation of E.E. Waddell High School, Vay further her education at the Empire Beauty School in Charlotte NC where she learned to be a cosmetologist.

The Joy of Vay’s life was her family. She loves doing outdoor activities, like gardening, going on walk, go to the park, hiking, traveling, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Phu Bao Phong; 4 children, Zi (Shawn) Choi Phong, Ling (Alexis) Choi Phong, Ting (Laura) Choi Phong, and Ying (Chelsea) Choi Phong; father Chang Hin Nam, and mother Lam Nhi Mui; oldest brother Chang Henh Loc, wife Sau Ngoc Phuong, nephew Chang Phan Sau, and nephew Chang Phan Phay older brother Chang Henh Va, wife Dinh The Truc Ling , niece Chang Phan Angel, nephew Chang Phan Andy, niece Chang Phan Amy older brother Chang Henh Xuong, wife Vu The Hong Trinh, nephew Chang Phan Jayden, and nephew Chang Phan Justin younger brother Chang Henh Ung, wife Bui Minh Trang, nephew Chang Phan Ethan, and Chang My Emma father in-law Phong Tay Sang, and mother in-law Cam Thi Kiuniece younger brother in-law Phong Bao Quy younger brother Truong Bro Phong, wife Misa Ngoc Vo, niece Amelia My Huyen Phong, and niece Fiona My Tam Phong.

Service will be held on Wednesday September 24 and Thursday 25. Family service from 9 AM -12 PM on 24th, visitation 4 PM - 8 PM on Wednesday 24 and 9 AM -12 PM Thursday 25 at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. Burial ceremony on Thursday September 25 at 12:15 PM at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney St.
