She was born on November 19th, 1959 in Charlotte to the late William T. Frazier Jr. and Julia Morris Frazier.
A lifelong Charlotte resident, Vicky attended Carolina Christian School and graduated with the class of 1978. Following high school graduation, around 1980, Vicky started working for NAPA, where she met her future husband, David. David and Vicky quickly grew close, and they were married on May 3rd, 1985 in York, SC.
Vicky left NAPA in the mid-to-late 80s and shortly thereafter went to work for Wells Fargo as a Check Processor. She remained a loyal and hardworking Wells Fargo employee for 25 years until her early retirement in 2015.
Outside of work and in her free time, Vicky enjoyed painting rocks and she loved going to the beach, especially to Ocean Lakes. She also enjoyed chances to reminisce and catch up with her childhood friends, her beloved Wildwood Ya-Yas. Vicky’s most favorite way to spend her time, though, was with her treasured grandchildren, who she loved more than anything. Some of her favorite memories are of riding around on the golf cart at the beach with them.
Vicky sincerely valued connecting with others, whether by chatting in person, over the phone, or by messaging on Facebook, she was always excited to catch up with the people she loved. She had such a lively personality; she was deeply funny, she never met a stranger, and she had the biggest heart. She truly brightened every room she walked into.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia; and her brother, Thomas Barry Frazier.
Those left to honor Vicky’s memory include her loving husband of 36 years, David Christenbury; her children, Steve Christenbury (Miriam) and Leigha Hernandez (Cesar); her grandchildren, Zane and Pheren and step-grandchildren, Micah and Allie; her siblings, Judy Vinson, Peggy McConnell (Patrick), Dennis Frazier (Carol), and Shirby Whalen (Richard); and her long-time best friend, Iris Connell.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 at Believers Bible Chapel, 13531 Lancaster Highway in Pineville. A Celebration of Vicky’s Life will be held at 2:00pm at the church. Refreshments will be served following the services.
