Virginia Lee Todd Hargett

Charlotte - Virginia Lee Todd Hargett passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Woodlands at Furman, Greenville, SC. She was born October 24, 1930 in Charlotte, a daughter of the late Silas and Annie Lee Todd. She was married on May 14, 1955 to Karl Eugene Hargett. They were married for 36 years until her husband's death in 1991.

She worked in the mortgage department with City National Bank, now BB&T, for over 20 years. She was a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, enjoyed Bible study, traveling and eating out.

A devoted mother, Virginia is survived by her son, Steven Mark Hargett, daughter-in-law, Cindy Hargett and grandson, Brett Hargett of Greenville, SC; nephew, Don Shuman, his wife, Suzanne Shuman and great-nephew and niece, Joshua and Katie Shuman of Liberty, SC; niece, Susan Lynch Huston, her husband, Kenn Huston and great-nieces, Arrie and Kensley Huston of Charlotte, NC.

Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Todd Shuman.

A service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016, in the chapel of Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum at 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, with visitation from 1:00 - 1:45 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd., Greenville, SC 29615, in lieu of flowers.
