Wade is survived by his wife Carrie; daughter Jessica Vickers; sister Chrissy and brother-in-law Aaron; nephew Keith and wife Meri; step-daughters Erica and Brittany.
As a baby, Wade moved with his family to Florida, where he settled with his mom and sister and discovered a love and passion for music. His mother taught him to play a song on the guitar and the rest was history. He carried the guitar around with him everywhere he went.
Wade attended Martin County High School where he met many who became lifelong friends.
As a teenager he went to a KISS concert and when he saw them up on stage, he decided this is what he wanted to do. He wanted to be a rock star. Wade was an incredible guitar player. But we all know he could pick up any instrument and be able to play it. He was an extremely talented musician.
Wade went on to play in many bands such as Try or Die, The ACT, The Cadillac Brats and SWS just to name a few. In addition to the bands, he often jammed with his friends at their homes or at the beach. He loved jamming with all of his friends. We have very fond memories of listening to him jam with his friends on the causeway.
Wade's short yet significant 57 year journey through life included relationship heart breaks. But the last seven years filled his heart with the love of his life in Carrie.
God had another plan for Wade. Though we're not happy that God took him away from me too soon, we know he is in a better place and that we will see him again someday.
A Memorial Service for Wade will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 beginning at 4:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
The family cordially invites friends and family to join them following the Memorial Service at Hawthorne's Pizza, Meridian Place at 6215 Old Post Road, Suite 101, Charlotte, NC 28212.
