

Wesley “Lee” Ledford, 52, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Levine - Dickson Hospice House Southminster after a courageous battle with cancer. He spent his final days in the company of family and friends. Lee was the beloved son of Daphne and Wesley Ledford. He was born October 24, 1961 in Charlotte and attended Selwyn, Alexander Graham, Charlotte Country Day and Myers Park High School.
Lee loved nature and enjoying being outdoors. One of his true passions was fishing. Some of his fondest memories were the countless days of fishing and boating at Wrightsville Beach. Music and sports were a part of his life and he was known as an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers, NASCAR, and golf. Lee was also known for his sense of humor that brought joy to everyone in his presence. He always found something amusing to say in all situations. We will cherish these memories.
Lee was in the construction business and was very proud of the mark he made on many businesses and homes in the area.
In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by his son, Rion and wife Kinzey of Charlotte; and sister, Lynn Ledford Brown also of Charlotte.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to Levin Dickson Hospice House Southminster for their compassion and extraordinary care.
Services for Mr. Ledford will be private.
