

He was born on May 25, 1948 in Dorchester, SC the son of Willis and Celia Haynes who preceded him in death.
Will attended Jenkins Hill High School in Harleyville, SC where he was Salutatorian for the class of 1966 and where he also played football, basketball and trumpet for the school band. Will attended Howard University in Washington, DC; Baruch College in New York City and graduated from Manhattan Community College with a degree in Accounting. Will then pursed a successful career at Merrill Lynch & Company, Oppenheimer & Company as well as other Wall Street brokerage firms. Will then moved to Charlotte, NC and continued his career with First Union Brokerage Services which became Wachovia Securities which ultimately became Wells Fargo.
Will was an avid sports fan, but was a “die-hard” Washington Redskins fan. He loved to read his bible as well as Business Week, Newsweek and Time magazine. Will also loved “old school” music, especially James Brown and Joe Tex.
Will’s life and memories will continue to be celebrated by: his wife, Patricia, his daughter Truimellia Haynes of Columbia SC, his sons Will Dewain Haynes of Columbia, SC , Sheldon Herron of NYC, Moriba Herron of Hillsborough, NJ, Leonard Herron of Breinigsville, PA; his sister Glain Haynes of Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law, Meredith Herron; grandchildren Yvonntne Haynes, Shardea Haynes, Sharmelle Haynes, Quanel Robinson, Deven Herron and Victoria Herron; great grandchildren Angel Haynes and Christiana Haynes; Uncle, Fatus Haynes of Detroit, MI; Aunts, Beatrice Addison of Harleyville, SC, Elizabeth Black of Dorchester, SC, Gertia Haynes of Columbia, SC and Annie Cusack of Summerville, SC as well in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
The family will receive friends one hour to the funeral service at the funeral home.
