

William Roy Clark passed away on May 31st, 2019 at the age of 63. Roy was born on April 30th, 1956 to Henry and Edna Clark of Madison, NC. He grew up in Stokes County and graduated from South Stokes High School. He was married to his devoted wife, Kathy Beaty Clark, for 34 years. Roy was a dedicated friend, husband, father, grandfather and was soon-to-be a great-grandfather. He was a hard-working, dedicated employee of Vandewiele, Inc. for 29 years, while also working part-time for FedEx for 21 years. Roy was better known to his grandchildren as “Paw-Paw.” He loved his 6 grandchildren and was proud of their many accomplishments. He loved sports, especially basketball and football, and was a dedicated fan of the Carolina Tarheels and Dallas Cowboys. He was blessed with a beautiful family, many devoted nieces and nephews, and faithful friends in his lifetime whom he enjoyed spending time with on a regular basis. Roy was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Clark, and his father, Henry Howard Clark. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Beaty Clark; daughter, Amy Bradshaw and husband, Shane, of Charlotte, NC, and son Kevin Clark and fiancé, Cherrelle Sanders, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Dylan Garska, Harleigh Eury, Kayden Clark, Kylie Clark, Kyler Clark, and Cierra Bradshaw; mother, Edna Clark of Madison, NC; sister, Janet Stanley and husband, Bob, of Stokesdale, NC, and brothers, Mike Clark and wife, Laura, of Mayodan, NC, and Craig Clark and wife, Dorinda, of Danbury, NC. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice & Palliative Care of Lincoln County for the care and love that he received over the past several months, with special thanks to his primary nurses, Maribeth Hill and Catherine Bruce. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4th, from 12 – 2pm, with the funeral service following at 2pm at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
