Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a son of the late William Butler Martin, Sr. and Madge Melton Martin. Mr. Martin was retired from Belmont Abbey College and Dixon Ford, Inc. He was a member of Park Street United Methodist Church where he participated with the United Methodist Men and was a member of the Pathfinder’s Sunday School Class. He enjoyed collecting eagles and UNC Tar Heel memorabilia.
Mr. Martin is survived by a sister, Mary Joanna Martin; a brother, Carl Martin and wife Brenda; an aunt, Vivian Melton; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
