Wilson Bryce Everhart

Mr. Everhart, age 84, of Charlotte passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at his home after several months of courageously battling lung cancer.

He was born February 12, 1928 in Lexington, North Carolina the son of the late E.A. Everhart and Grace Lee. He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Everhart and step daughter, Wendy Jenkins.

Bryce attended Tech High School and graduated from Lexington High School. He served his country in the US Air force and later retired from a career with the US Postal Service in 1985. After retirement he worked for ten years part time in the offices of Pic N Pay.

Bryce was a member of the East Gate Lodge, Oasis Shrine, Mecklenburg Shrine Club, and PSA Shag Club. He enjoyed Carolina Basket Ball, dancing, fishing, golfing and spending time with his many friends.

Surviving are his loving wife, Margaret Everhart; son, Rick Everhart (Sandy); daughter, Lynn Kiser (Mike); four grandchildren, Jesse and Lauren Kiser and Tommy and Wesley Deaton; half sister, Jane Moses; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bryce was blessed with many close friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30PM Monday, July 30, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.

A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shrine’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
