Zack Aaron Rupert

Born August 1, 1983, in Charlotte, he was the son of Tim Allen Rupert and Krista Holbrook Sandy.

He was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and the College of Charleston, where he received a degree in Political Science. He worked for 15 years as a Project Manager at T.A. Rupert Waterproofing, and most recently at A&K Painting Company.

Incredibly smart, funny, kind and a deep thinker, Zack was a genuine and compassionate soul who made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Zack was a phenomenal athlete and excelled in baseball. He was a member of the 2002 Fort Mill High School state champion baseball team, and some of his best memories were with his teammates throughout his sports career.

Nothing meant more to Zack than his big family, stretching from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. He especially adored his eight nieces and nephews and had a tremendous impact in their lives.

Zack is deeply loved by many on this side of Heaven, including Krista and Tom Sandy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Tim and Louella Rupert of Fort Mill, SC; Marcus Rupert (Dylan, Gracie, Marcus, Kingston and Khloe) of Wilmington, NC; Morgan and Hunter Bulk (Eleanor, Bowen and Bennett) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents.

The family welcomes all for a visitation to celebrate Zack’s life at McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11:00am – 1:00pm, immediately followed by a burial service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery (4601 Freedom Drive).
