Marlene's life was dedicated to serving her family in every way possible. She was a totally selfless person who wanted nothing but to keep her family happy. Her only indulgence in this life was to have her hair done once a week. Marlene loved her husband, kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always happy, putting others needs before her and loved everyone unconditionally. She retired from Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds.
Marlene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Russ; children Russell (Stephanie) Wise, Jr, Barry (Svetlana) Wise, Terri Wise (Jeff Rodawald) amd Karl (Adriana) Wise; grandchildren Breanna Cotton, Garrett Wise, Ashlyn Wise, Brittany Wise Witkowicki, Aimee Wise, Courtney Wise Higgins and Whitney Wise; great grandchildren Mason Higgins, Tiberius Cotton, Zelda Cotton and Hadley Reep and brother Albert Helms.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 27th at 11am at McEwen Funeral Service located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Sharon Memorial Park immediately following the service.
