On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Agustina Anderson, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 58 in Charlottesville, VA. Agustina was born on May 21, 1963, to Cirilo Vergara and Cecilia Navarro in Panama, to a large family being the seventh child of ten. Her childhood was full of adventures and loved to share stories with her husband, children, family and friends. Agustina met her husband Woody in 1986 and they were joined on January 10, 1989 in Panama City, Panama where they had two children and each gained daughters from previous marriages. She studied Business and Journalism in Panama and moved to Waco, Texas in 1999 where she became a US Citizen. Agustina loved to pour into children in the community as an ESL teacher as she worked with many students in the Waco Independent School Districts. Agustina loved cooking, sewing, nature, her annual trips to Panama, finding the lessons in life, loving her grandchildren, studying her Bible and listening to Jesus. Agustina was a proud member of Antioch Community Church in Waco, Texas. Her first love is Jesus, she was a woman of God, had a servants heart, and loved to serve her family, friends and the church. Agustina loved life and lit up any room with her beautiful smile and warm demeanor. She was a wonderful grandmother (Mimi) to 8 grandchildren. She and her husband Woody relocated from Texas to Virginia in April of 2021 to be nearer to most of the grandchildren and wanted so very much to teach them all about Jesus. She loved her family and is very loved and missed. Agustina is survived by her husband Woody Anderson, step-daughter Sumone Ray, son in law Aaron Ray; daughter Carolyn Bowman, son in law Micah Bowman; son Anthony Anderson, daughter in law Whitney Anderson; son Miguel Anderson, and soon to be daughter in law Juliya Guthrie; Grandchildren Elizabeth and AJ Ray; Isabella and Maksim Bowman; Owen, Ezra and Abel Anderson; Luke Anderson; Siblings Maria, Luis, Cristina, Agapaito, Enelsa, Elma, Maribel, Yasmeira, Orlando Nephews, nieces, cousins and beloved friends. Predeceased by Cirilo Vergara and Cecilia Navarro A viewing will take place June 9, 2021 at 10 am, Service at 11 am at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22903. Followed by burial at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902. “Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
