Allan B. Kindrick, 87, of Earlysville, died Thursday September 14, 2017 at his home. Born June 8, 1930 in Albemarle County, he was the son of the late A.B. and Ethel Via Kindrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kindrick, a sister, Mildred Cox and a grandson, Jonathon Stithem. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ada Marie Kindrick; three daughters, Kathy Adams and her husband Bill, Toni Stithem and her husband David, and Lisa Kindrick and special friend Eddie Hope; two sons, Stephen Kindrick and Timothy Kindrick and his wife Natalie; one brother, Norman Kindrick; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Allan worked at Stromberg Carlson, R. E. Lee and Sons, and Teague Funeral Service. He was a member and deacon at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and a charter member of Broadus Memorial Baptist Church. He was a member of the Albemarle County School Board for many years, the Albemarle County Planning Commission and was a charter member of the Earlysville Volunteer Fire Department. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Earlysville with Reverend Lance King officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Teague Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 550 Buck Mountain Road, Earlysville, VA 22936.
