Christopher Charles Swyers

Christopher C. Swyers, 57 of Charlottesville, Virginia left this Earth to be with the Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021 after a fierce fight with Leukemia. He was born on March 9, 1964 in Abington, Pennsylvania to the late Doris and Harold Swyers. Chris apprenticed as a meat cutter at Anderson's Shur Fine in Warren, PA. He also worked for Ron Nuhfer Long Life Systems as well prior to moving to Virginia in 1999. Chris then dedicated many years to working for Puff Inc. Foam & Coating Solutions. At the time of his passing he worked for Leathers Construction. He always enjoyed keeping busy by tinkering or creating something artistic with his many hobbies including being a mechanic, woodworking, knife-forging, stained glass art and drawing. He was an exceptional artist. Chris loved animals, nature and being outside with his beloved dog, Makita. Chris is survived by his son, Shaun C. Swyers, his daughter, Aleesha V. Swyers, and granddaughter Victoria R. Martin along with ex-wife, Victoria L. Swyers and his 3 stepchildren, Pete and Travis McMillen and Mindy Miller and great granddaughter. Also 3 sisters; Maryjo Sharp, Linda Anderson, and Carol Alburger, one brother; Michael Swyers. Also multiple nieces and nephews. Chris is also survived by numerous friends including Mutt Fox, Roger Hensley and countless others. A Celebration of Life will held at the convenience of his family at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.
