Dorothy Virginia Devall

Dorothy Virginia DeVall, 82, passed away on April 7, 2024. Dorothy was born January 24, 1942, in California to the late Francis and Marie Hoffman. Dorothy is survived by her husband Roger of 62 years, a Son Roger DeVall and his wife Julie DeVall, a Daughter Renee DeVall, five Grandsons Cody DeVall, Ryan DeVall, Michael DeVall, Richard Fisher and Scott Fisher and three Great Grandsons Liam DeVall, Hendrix DeVall and Anthony Brannon. Dorothy had many passions in life playing blackjack, bridge, knitting and watching football, (she used to love to count the months from the end of the Super Bowl to the season starting again), take road trips from Mississippi to Maine and just enjoy the ride and scenery, and loved her husband Roger’s flowers especially when he brought them in the house to her. Dorothy worked in the Superintendent's office for Fairfax County Public Schools before transferring to Albemarle County Public Schools, working there in the Superintendent's Office also, then moved to help open the brand-new school Agnor-Hurt Elementary serving as School Secretary before retiring from Albemarle County Public Schools. She loved her husband dearly and would like to thank him for taking such good care of her. Visitation for Dorothy will be on Monday April 15, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA, 22903, following the visitation will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.
