Faye was born in Advance, Indiana. She was the daughter of F. Bryan and Ethel (Rosen) Reed. In 1947, her parents moved to Staunton, VA where she lived until she moved to Charlottesville. Faye became an accomplished hairdresser and eventually opened her own beauty shop, the Crowning Touch, also located in Charlottesville. The Crowning Touch became her passion and she was still operating it at the time of her death.
Faye was an active member of McKinley United Methodist Church while she lived in Staunton and later attended the First Baptist Church of Charlottesville, VA during her residency there.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for all of Faye's dear friends and clients; their love and companionship over the years is greatly appreciated, and know that Faye loved you all in return.
Due to COVID-19, no service is planned at this time. However, a gathering to commemorate Faye's life will be announced at a later date.
