Georgie Irene Herndon 85 of Free Union , Virginia passed away Monday September 28, 2015 at The Trinity Mission Health and Rehab. She was born on September 13, 1930 to the late John Walter Clemmons and Mary Magaline Clemmons. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Francis Herndon; a daughter Joyce Ann McCauley four brothers Walter, Percy , Paul, and Stewart. She was also preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth. Georgie is survived by her sister Nora Faulkner, and brothers Joseph and Charlie Clemmons, a daughter Gilda Sue Collins of Earlysville ,VA , two sons David Lee Herndon of Schuyler, VA and Charles Edward Herndon of Lindsey, VA. She is also the proud grandmother of twenty two grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson all of whom she loved and cared for as her own. Georgie also had a special friend Victoria Plumb whom helped care for her and loved her.
