Harold Amsey Morris, 83, of Charlottesville died Tuesday June 3, 2014 at his home. Born in Charlottesville, VA on October 12, 1930 he was the son of the late Perry and Annie Shifflett Morris. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter Robin Annette Morris and his sister Faye Oliver. Mr. Morris was retired from Piedmont Tractor and was a surveyor in the Charlottesville area for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany and was a member of the Christian Church in Dyke, VA. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Shirley Herring Morris, a sister Garnette Meadows of Greene County, VA and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday June 6, 2014 in the Teague Chapel. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday June 5, 2014 at the funeral home. The family requests that flowers be omitted and that the giver feed or clothe a deserving child.
