Kathrine Shawver

Katherine Chapman Shawver, 93, of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Berkshire Health and Rehab. She was born in Monroe, NC on March 26, 1930 to the late Nathaniel Gatewood Chapman and Katherine Roberts Chapman. In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Shawver, five brothers and two sisters. Katherine is survived by her sister, Margaret Brookman, a step-daughter, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was a life-long Christian and active in her church. Katherine will be laid to rest at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 in a private burial.
