Lorraine C Brown

Sissy was born on January 29, 1932 to the late Dewey and Beula May Lawson Collier. She was also preceeded in death by her brother Sunny Boy and sister Juanita Garrison.

Sissy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years William Henry Brown; daughters, Dorothy McCauley, Susan Lamb and her husband James, Bonnie Porcaro and her late husband Peter, Jean Brown and her husband Frank, Pauline Brown; sons, William Brown, Jr and his wife Irene, Harold Brown and wife Margie, David Brown and his wife Debbie, and James Brown and his wife Lisa; her brother William Collier and his wife Margaret; and 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted 12:00pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Teague Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Lorraine’s name to Hospice of Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway #300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
