It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nicholas Leichtentritt, 34, of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Nick passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. He was born on February 21, 1984, in Nyack, NY to Walter Kurt Leichtentritt and Shaila (Manseta) Leichtentritt.
In addition to his parents, Nick is survived by his wife Nicole Kistler Leichtentritt; four-year-old son, Jesse Ryan Leichtentritt; brothers Kurt Vijay, and Jesse Dennis Leichtentritt; sisters Marilyn Corrado, and Timi Jo, Jackie Rose, and Sophia Milli Leichtentritt; aunts & uncles, Jyoti & Bryan O’Keefe, Dev Manseta & Nashima Gokani, and Hedy Leichtentritt; treasured lifelong friend, Collin Rourke; and countless members of the close-knit Charlottesville community who came to know and love him.
Nick was a tireless visionary, and inexhaustible entrepreneur who used his talents to create spaces for the enjoyment and comfort of all who crossed his threshold. Founding partner of Milli Coffee Roasters (2012), and Sicily Rose (2018), Nick took pride in bringing people together and building up our shared community through food and fellowship. Nick was known to his family as having a generous spirit, always willing to lend his help and support with or without being asked. He was passionate in all the endeavors of his life, and an incredible friend to us all.
A memorial service will be held in Nick’s honor on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 4pm, at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. The family will receive friends following the service.
