Meeting you changed my life for the better.  I wouldn't be where I am without you.  I am heartbroken for everyone who loved you.  You made a difference in this world.  I am so glad to have known you.  Rest well.

I had Mr Curran as my tennis coach.  He was always super enthusiastic about the sport and extremely genuine. He taught the game with a passion that I simply loved. And there was something else about him that just instnatly made you like him. I don't know if it was the warmth that he brought with him or his natural ability to relate to others, but you just felt comfortable and at home around him. I will most definitely miss him and his warm smile. May you rest in peace Mr Curran.

What I remember with Sean, was as a soccer coach at Albemarle High School, when our boys won the 2018 State Championship.  Even with his health issues, he was totally committed to working and helping our boys become the best they could.  In my book, anyone who is willing to take the time, as Sean did, to help our youth become young men, is a gift from God.  Thank you Sean for your dedication.  Heaven is truly gaining a good Soul. God Speed.


I remember the first soccer practice I had with Sean. He was a pretty quiet guy for the most part but whenever we did have conversations it would always be something positive. He’d never hesitate to check up on me if I wasn’t doing so well and he always gave me good tips to become a better player. He always wanted the best for everyone. I think the best thing I ever learned from him was to not be afraid to make mistakes. He told me it’s not necessarily a bad thing to make mistakes here and there as long as you were willing to learn from them. I carry that everyday with me in anything I do now. If I could speak to him one more time, I would thank him for being in such a big part of my life. I am forever grateful for all the things he has done for me.

I never really liked many teachers or school for that matter until I met Mr Curran. Mr Curran was the type of person you could rant and confide in, but at the same time was like the big brother that didn’t let you cross the line. I will miss the most random but genuine conversations we had that made him shake his head and let out a laugh when he tried to be serious. I will also miss the laughs me we had shared joking about him wearing the same black outfit to soccer practice everyday. I’ll miss the reassuring feeling of knowing Mr.Curran accepted our flaws with no judgement and treated us like actual humans. Although you were someone of little words I’ll simply miss your presence and eating five guys  together and you laughing at my absurd conversations with Tucker which we use to joke was like Mr. Currans identical son, who also loved cheeseburgers. Although we joked around a lot I also am grateful to the fact you could also act like a serious adult and that is what I strive to be in the future, the perfect combination of both, a mentor and a person who has brought me happiness from just being himself. I remember one day he invited some of us off campus to meet his horses he always talked about and that’s when I realized the relationship wasn’t one sided and he actually saw us as friends, rather than simply students and trusted us enough to share something with us he cared about and loved . I am beyond grateful that by chance I was able to meet him and got to be his friend and am heart broken you couldn’t see me mature a could finally grab the beer you promised me. I hope to see you again one day and hope they have plenty of blue label and cheeseburgers for you in paradise. May you Rest In Peace you beautiful soul 🤍you will forever be missed and forever be part of my life.
