

Sean Olando Scott, 52, of Charlottesville, VA, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 28. He was born December 13, 1973, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to the late Avery F. Gray, Sr. and Elizabeth G. Scott.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Violet and Charles Terry and Wesley Sr. and Edith Scott; his aunt, Charlene Watkins; and his uncles, Raphael Terry, Kenneth Diggs, Wesley Scott Jr., and Leon Scott.
Sean was a devoted father and grandfather who deeply loved his children and granddaughter. A die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he was also known for his sense of style and took pride in being the best dressed wherever he went. Sean valued loyalty and friendship, and those who knew him will remember his humor, presence, and unwavering love for his family.
Sean worked at Belle Restaurant and Bakery and at Blackjack’s Soul Food Restaurant on Cherry Avenue, later joining the Blackjack’s mobile food truck on Pantops. He was also co-owner of Dialo Clothing Store on Cherry Avenue and co-founder of Mean Streets Ent.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Sean Olando Scott Jr. of North Carolina; Ayanna Ta-Sean Trudy Scott (David) of Maryland; and NaSean Titus Scott, Reysean Olando Scott, and Taylor LaShawn Fortune, all of Charlottesville; and one granddaughter, Neriha Jane Scott.
He is also survived by four brothers, Avery Jr. of Charlottesville, Travis (Kendra) of Maryland, Thomas of Charlottesville, and Ezekial of Woodbridge; and one sister, Carmen of Charlottesville.
Sean also leaves his siblings-in-love: Rayshon, Renne, RJ, Catrell, Candace, Courtney, and Calvin; two uncles, Howard Scott and William Scott, both of Charlottesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Sean will also be remembered by a close circle of lifelong friends, including Burton “Hop” Fowler and Antoine Davenport, whom he proudly called his brothers since kindergarten, along with dear friends Lamar and Kieren Brown and many other cherished friends.
