Thomas Clayton “Skip” Inskeep, age 72, of Palmyra passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Skip was born on June 7, 1942 to the late Clayton Connell and Emma Louise Inskeep. Skip retired from the United States Navy after 26 years of service; having served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a long time active member of Covenant Church of God in Charlottesville. Skip is survived by his bride of 52 years Evelyn Inskeep; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Brayley; son, Duane Inskeep and his wife Michele; daughters, Sherri Lewis and Kelli Braswell and her husband Maurice; eleven grandchildren; and, five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Covenant Church of God, 1025 Rio Road East, Charlottesville, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Advancing Native Missions, 10460 Critzers Shop Road, Afton, VA 22920.
