Tim was married to Pamela Terry on October 5, 1974, in a small county church that hadn’t had any weddings since 1916. Tim met Pam when he was 18 and fell deeply in love with her and loved her his whole life. He loved their life together, the great adventures and the quiet times of peace. While living in New York, Tim served as the chief of the local volunteer fire department. Tim built a log cabin for his family and lived in it with Pam and his sons until the family left New York to move to Virginia in 1987. He started several businesses in Virginia before moving back to New York in 1993 to care for aging parents. After that, Tim and Pam moved back to Virginia in 2006 to be close to their son and grandchildren. As a result, Tim was able to be an important part of his grandchildren's life.
Tim was intelligent, a hard worker, and had a great sense of humor. He knew how to make others feel comfortable, even when he himself was struggling.
