We would like to extend a special thanks to Dana Monroe. Zola-Rain attended Western Albemarle and was a Warrior in and outside of school. Zola had a heart of gold, an amazing love for her family, and an infectious million-dollar smile that will LIVE ON in our hearts forever. Zola loved hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and hanging with her friends.
Zola wanted me to send a special shout out to her Mother Shakita “Peedy” for all that she has done for her over the years. She is her very best friend, her biggest fan, and she wants her to know how much she loves and appreciates her always. We want to Thank all the nurses and Doctors at UVA, UNC, and MSK for all their support throughout our journey.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
