Daryl was born June 9, 1959, in Springfield, IL, the son of Orville and Dorothy (Kochman) Ladage.
Daryl was a gifted computer programmer and a skilled craftsman, known for his problem-solving ability and attention to detail. He carried these talents throughout his career, dedicating many years of loyal service to Horace Mann before retiring in 2023. Outside of work, Daryl had a deep passion for sports and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. He also found great joy in the freedom of the open road as a devoted Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Dorothy; brother, Duane Ladage; and infant sister, Diane Ladage.
Daryl is survived by his daughter, Emily (Anthony) Jackson; son, Clarke (companion, Ashley Miller) Ladage; grandchildren, Harper and Allison Cully, Levi and Luke Jackson, and Aubrey Miller; siblings, Delores “Lori” (Don) Ruyle and Danny (Kelli) Ladage; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following services.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on February 6, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL 62629, until the time of the Ceremony at 12:00 p.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner, officiating.
