Fronda was born May 3, 1927, in Bevier, Kentucky in Muhlenberg County. Her father was a coal miner and her mother a homemaker who raised their ten children. In 1946, they moved to Springfield, Illinois to find work, and she met her future husband there, Howard Miller. They married and had five children making their home in Zion, Illinois. Fronda was a hard worker and was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in North Chicago, Illinois for twenty years. She later moved back to the Springfield area to be close to her siblings, and she made her home in Virden, Illinois. She worked for twenty-three years at Glenwood High School in Chatham as the sandwich lady. She loved working there and made some great friends at school and with the students. Fronda loved to garden and her little yard in Virden was covered in begonias and other flowers every spring. She loved to cook; she loved fried catfish, anything chocolate and always biscuits and gravy! Fronda was very proud of her kids and her grandkids, and loved to visit them whenever possible. She gave to her church and was always ready to help anyone she could.
Fronda was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Rainey Kyle; daughter, Janet Lynn Miller; granddaughter, Susan Bruce; siblings, Granville Kyle, Dorthy Cox, Louise Kyle, Alberta Cox, Alma Kyle Crawford Pillischafske, Bobbie Joe Kyle, Bill Kyle, Hilda Kyle Hollingshead, and Lonnie Kyle.
