Leroy was born on August 6, 1930, in Maywood, IL, son of Roy and Helen (Webber) Anderson. Leroy was married for 27 years to Marilyn Drottz, who preceded him in death. His second wife, Margaret Peterson, also preceded him in death, as did his son, Mark Anderson.
Leroy is survived by his daughter Polly Zupcic of Pennsylvania and two grandchildren: Reece and Alexa Zupcic.
Leroy was a veteran of the U. S. Army and held a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry from Iowa State University. He raised cattle on the family farm in Woodstock, Illinois for many years and turned rancher in Colorado before returning to Illinois.
