

BREWSTER - Carol Everett O'Meara, 91, formerly of Chatham, entered into rest on Aug. 2012 in her home at The Woodlands Assisted Living in Brewster. She was the beloved wife of Richard O'Meara with whom she shared 45 happy years of marriage. She is predeceased by two brothers, John and Robert, and a sister, Margaret. She is survived by a son, Richard (Elizabeth) O'Meara of Portsmouth, R.I., two daughters, Margaret (Peter) O'Meara Horvitz of Kirkland, WA and Carolyn (William) Dowling of Marblehead, MA, two grandsons, Christopher and Jeffrey Dowling, a great-grandson, David Buckley, her dear brother, Clinton Everett of S. Chatham, her cousin, Jane Drury of Marstons Mills, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Orange, NJ, Carol spent the first 63 years of her life in NJ, including Maplewood and Livingston. She enjoyed working for Eastern Airlines as a stewardess and later stewardess recruiter. She spent summers on Cape Cod and was delighted to eventually move to Chatham in 1984. She especially enjoyed travelling in her later years with her daughter, playing bridge at Eastward Ho CC, and spending time with family.
A wake will be held Tuesday August 7th from 4pm to 7pm at Nickerson Funeral Home 87 Crowell Road Chatham, MA. The funeral mass will be held at 10AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Chatham, MA. Burial at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery will follow.
