

David W. Wagstaff, Sr., 82, of Harwich, Massachusetts, died peacefully into eternal life on November 16, 2023, at his home. David was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on June 25, 1941, the son of Charles and Frances (Bailey) Wagstaff. He was married to Nancy (Chamberlin) for 59 years. He served in the United States Air Force for four years, where he met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was self-employed for 55 years, serving service stations, dealerships, and bus companies in New England and Florida. He was well known for asking questions, like, “where are you from originally?” Once David got to know you, you knew he was concerned for the state of your soul.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Helen Horne. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Harwich, daughter Sarah Leavitt (Stephen) of Exeter, NH, son David Wagstaff, Jr. (Sandy) of Dunedin, FL, brother Herbert of Wrentham, grandson Timothy Leavitt (Sarah) and great grandsons Josiah and Caleb of Tewksbury, and grandson Benjamin Leavitt (Emily) of Milwaukie, OR. Extended family includes neighbors Tom and Gale Cotrell of Harwich and long-time friend John Tosy of Wrentham.
Calling hours will be held from 10-11 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023 followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Both will be held at Cape Cod Bible Alliance at 3600 Main Street, Brewster, MA. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. A private burial will be held at South Chatham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International or Broad Reach Hospice (Chatham, MA).
