Deborah Borthwick, 78, of Cape Cod, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2025. Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Deborah lived a full and vibrant life marked by creativity, love, and community.
She graduated from Sacred Heart All-Girls Boarding School before attending cosmetology school. With a passion for beauty and connection, Deborah moved to Cape Cod, where she owned and operated Total Look Beauty Studio. She was also a master florist at Sweet and Stems, bringing color and joy to many with her floral designs. Later in life, she worked with the Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch, where her love for the ocean and nature found a special outlet.
Deborah had a zest for life—she enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, playing games and doing crafts, and spending sunny days outdoors. Tuesday bingo in Eastham was a beloved tradition. Her warmth, creativity, and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Borthwick. She is survived by her three daughters: Pamela Ross, Paula Quest and her husband Jeff, and Leah Levi and her husband Ron. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride.
Deborah’s life will be celebrated in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her committal service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:15pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
