

Born on July 8, 1927 in North Truro, her parents were William and Rachel (Horton) Forrest. She was the wife of the late Douglas A. Kendrick who died in 1992. She was educated at the Truro and Provincetown Schools and graduated from Chatham High School.
She worked at many positions throughout her life. She was a Girl Scout Leader, and a Boy Scout volunteer. Besides being devoted to her family, she enjoyed braiding rugs, compiling family and Cape Cod history in her many scrapbooks.
She is survived by her children, Toni Wordell and her husband Jon, Pearl Singleton and her husband Roy, and her son John Kendrick; her sisters, Helen Kendrick, Olive Bogue, Esther Masson, and her brother Sumner Forest, brothers-in-law Lewis Masson, and sister-in-law Janet Forrest. Also surviving, eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren,and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA. Her graveside service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in Seaside Cemetery, Chatham, MA.
