

Sue’s fondest childhood memories were working in her grandmother’s garden where she learned about herbs and flowers and where she got her background training as a girl scout. She also remembered her childhood clambakes at Lake Ontario with her family. She studied music at State University of NY at Freedonia.
She graduated with a BS degree in instrumental music teaching. She entered the episcopal convent of the Sisters of the Way of the Cross in Buffalo, leaving 21 days before her final profession. She went on to study Theology at St. Bernard’s, a R.C. Institute in Rochester, earning her M Div degree.
Following the convent, she taught instrumental music for many years ending up at Eastman Kodak Co. as a Specialist Librarian for 27 ½ years. When she moved to the Cape in 1992 she played the tuba in the Harwich and Brewster Town Bands. She played the double bass in the Harwich Community Orchestra. Besides music, her hobbies were gardening, homeopathy, antiquing, reading, writing mysteries, and making miniatures. She belonged to the Miniature Club of Cape Cod and was a member of PFLAG. Sue was gentle, talented in cooking, baking, building miniatures and playing music.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Orleans on August 1st at 11 a.m.
