
Born 1929 in South Orange, New Jersey to Ross Lewis Dimm and Bertha Good Dimm, he graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1946 and Princeton University in 1950. After a long career as Vice President of Marketing for F. Schumacher & Company, he retired to Chatham and Palm Beach, Florida. He enjoyed clamming, boating, bridge and croquet. He was a member of the Stage Harbor Yacht Club, the Monomoy Yacht Club and the founder of the Quason Croquet Club which played in his back yard.
He was the husband of Margaret Dimm (Peggy) for 55 years. He leaves behind his daughter Susan Dimm Williams and son Wayne Dimm and daughter-in-law Joanne Dimm. He was Tapa and Pop-Up to grandchildren Ben Fry, Katie Dimm and Carly Dimm. He was pre-diseased by his parents, brother Ross Dimm and sister-in-law Joan Dimm. He was the Uncle to Bob Dimm, Ted Dimm and Patsy Dimm.
A memorial service will be held at St. Christophers Church, Chatham on Friday, October 17 at 11:00 with a reception to follow at Eastward Ho Golf Club. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of one's choice.
