William Earl Eldredge Sr.

William was born in Cape Cod Mass on 11/16/1943 to the late Eugene R. Eldredge & Marguerite Jerauld Eldredge of Chatham, Mass.

William is survived by his wife Mildred Jeanette Gifford Eldredge of Hyannis for many years. He is survived by his 4 brothers Richard, Eugene (Beanie) Jr., Jimmy, Teddy and sister Mary-Jane. He is predeceased by two brothers Joe & Ralph and grandson Bobby Jr. He is also survived by his children William Jr., Robert Sr. and wife Danielle, Elizabeth and fiancé Lee Adams and Margaret McCarthy. William has 6 grandchildren Heidi, Ricky, Brittney, Austin, Kayla & Jesse 5 great grandchildren Savannah, Jayden, Tori, Layla and Abby. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

William attended Chatham Public Schools. He was a lifelong roofer from Chatham and Nantucket. He resided on Nantucket for over 30 years. Eventually retiring in Harwich until his passing. He enjoyed hanging out at the Chicken Box on Nantucket where he was well known. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, watching football, old western movies, puzzles, fishing and drinking his coffee and Beer at night. He had numerous friends all over the Cape & Island. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.

Celebration of William or "Bill" as he liked to be called on Monday 12/19/2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA 02633. Additional celebration & spreading of ashes will take place in the spring of 2023. Flowers may be sent to Nickerson Funeral Home or In Lieu of flowers donations to organization of your choice
