
Minnie Lou Reed Williams, age 63, born November 24, 1950, died November 4, 2014. Mrs. Williams was a native and resident of Millry, AL where the strength of her spirituality shined through her faithful membership at Millry Baptist Church. Knowing the value of hard work, she held many jobs over the years including her position as a Sales Associate at Andrews Hardware in Chatom, AL for 25 years. Mrs. Williams was a woman of great integrity and dignity who was known for her kindheartedness and gentle spirit. She touched the lives of everyone around her in many ways, exuding kindness and always willing to help anyone in need. Mrs. Williams loved flowers and tending to her flower garden as well as getting into the holiday spirit around Christmas time. She was extremely proud of her boys who were the center of her life and she dearly loved her siblings. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, George Vincent Morris; sisters, Milinda Reed Griffith (Jesse) and Helen Reed Bradley; brother, William A. Reed; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones. She is predeceased by her son, James Benjamin Moss; husband, Billy Joe Williams; sister, June Reed Tew; brothers, Freeman Reed, Earnest Reed, and Joe Reed; brother-in-law, Ed Hearn “Bud” Bradley; sister-in-law, Banita Reed. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5:30 pm until 8 pm at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom. Service will be Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Millry Baptist Church with Bro.
