Andy Lamar Harris

Andy Lamar "Stumpy" Harris, aged 84, left his earthly body and was greeted in Heaven by parents, Andy and Dorothy Harris; his former wife and best friend, Cindy; granddaughter, Somer; great grandson, Leyland; and great granddaughter, Toni.

Lamar grew up in the Rossville community and graduated from Rossville High School, class of 1959. Lamar was a member of Rossville First Church of Nazarene and attended Chattanooga Valley Nazarene. He was a retired Plumber and Pipe-fitter and a proud member of Local 43 for over 65 years.

He will always be remembered for his willingness to help anyone - people would say that dad probably made millions in his lifetime but he gave it all away.

Dad could turn almost any situation into a good time with his sense of humor and his hearty laugh. He loved God, his family, the Georgia Bulldogs, Christmas a good banana split.

Those Lamar leaves behind to cherish his memories are his son, Curtiss (Ashley) Harris; daughters, Lisa Harper, Wendy (Ricky) Wolfe and Misty Harris; son-in-law, Jason Pendergrass; his brother, Jim (Jan) Harris; his sister, Kathy (Eddie) Gilstrap; his sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ed) Seaver, and Ruth Espy; grandchildren, Keith (Kristen) Harris, Brianna Adams, Huey Adams, Blake (Katrina) Pendergrass, Megan Wolfe and Andrew Davis, Jody Harris, Sierra (Dustin) Leonard, Karrington Harris, Haven Leigh Harris, Victoria (Kenny) Motley, Montana (Liv) Pendergrass, Krymsin Harris, Maelee Harris, Ryder Harris, Charlie Harris, Johnathan Harris, Lena Harris and Ruby Harris; eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.

A special thanks to V for caring for Lamar over the past year. The family would also like to thank Tapestry Hospice, Angel and Cassie for the love they gave to dad.

A Visitation for Andy will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, 37404.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 am at same location, with Eddie Gilstrap officiating.

Burial will be Monday, January 26, 2026 at 10:00 am at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 724 Hogan Rd, Rossville, GA 30741.
