Brenda Sue Higley

She was retired from the construction business.

Brenda was the family secretary, baker, and a loving and compassionate grandmother who would do anything for anyone. She was also the daughter of a WWII veteran.

Brenda was an avid Disney, Dolly and Elvis Fan; her love for Christmas was unlike any other. Her smile lit up any room she walked into, and she was the most welcoming person, who made you feel at home in her presence.

She was preceded in death by her father, Boyd Gentry; mother, Martha Louise Gentry; nephew, Jon Steed; and granddaughter, Mariah Alterio.

Those Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memories include her son, William Todd Henson (Lacey Henson); granddaughters, Chelsea (Cody) McIntire, Alexx Alterio, Maddi Alterio and Abigail Henson; great granddaughter, Carter McIntire; 4 great grandsons; sisters, Lucy Jones, Audrey Lindsey, Jan Poe and Linda Caylor; multiple nieces and nephews, Jaime Steed, Wendy Hubbs, Travis White, Scott Goodrich and Marcus Goodrich; lifetime friends, the Thornton family; other relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Walker County Civic Center, 10052 US-27, Rock Spring, GA 30739.
